100: Building an online business while raising a family with Shane Sams
Shane Sams from Flipped Lifestyle came by the Ballers Circle to talk about how he and his wife built a multi-million dollar online business helping other families gain income and independence through building their own online businesses. After my interview I also go through my most memorable takeaways since the beginning of the podcast, almost two years ago. I also share a change in the show format going forward.
Shane was a high school teacher and football coach who felt limited by his dependence on his employer who restricted his time and the money he could make to support his family. Once he discovered people were making money selling products online he knew there was an opportunity for him to make money too and escape his job. Shane and his wife, who was also a teacher, used what they knew to take a shot at internet business. They saw so much success that others they knew started asking them for help with selling their own products online to make money. From there, Flipped Lifestyle, their business where they help families start online businesses, was born.
What we discussed:
- Why so many people fail at online business
- The content schedule that Shane keeps to build his audience
- How to stay motivated and keep going when building your business
- What the right expectations are for finding success online
