075: The Right Time to Seek Podcast Sponsors with Christy Haussler

Christy Haussler from podcast editing and promotion firm Team Podcast dropped by the Ballers Circle to discuss why she launched her new show Podcast Rescue. She also shared her major takeaways from attending Podcast Movement.

Christy founded Team Podcast because she was frustrated by needing to use multiple services to outsource the tasks needed to have a successful podcast. She created a one stop shop service that had everything a podcaster would need to make their show a success after the episode was recorded. That includes audio editing, uploading episodes to a hosting service, show notes creation, and social media posts and promotion.

Since then she has seen the positive impact her service has had on her clients but also was saddened to see so many others give up on their podcasts because they just couldn’t figure out how to make it work for them. She created her latest podcast, Podcast Rescue, to help those struggling to make their podcast a success get out of overwhelm and to prevent people from podfading.

What we discussed:

  • When is the right time to look for podcast sponsors
  • What podcasters can do to improve the quality of their shows
  • Why setting unrealistic goals can kill your confidence and your show
  • How Christy helps her clients get the most out of their shows and free up time by taking on much of their podcasting work
