070: SEO Strategies to Get Your Website Found with Kris Reid

Kris Reid from Ardor SEO shares what businesses need to focus on to play nice with Google and get found using the right keywords and backlinking strategies.

After losing his job as a software engineer Kris needed another way to make money. He knew apps were all the rage so he dove in and developed an app that he knew the marketplace needed. The problem was he couldn’t figure out how to get the word out about his app.

This inspired Kris to learn everything he could about SEO. Once he figured out how to get traffic to his app and make sales he knew he could use the same strategies to help other businesses get the word out about their product and services as well and that is how his company Ardor SEO was born.

What we discussed:

  • Why some content gets ranked and others don’t
  • How to dramatically increase your search traffic with a few quick strategies
  • The difference between being on page 1 and on page 2 of a Google search
  • Link building the Google friendly way
  • When content marketing is a waste of time
