069: Creating a Website that Brings You Move Customers with Anthony Tran

Anthony Tran shares how he built his companies Marketing Access Pass and Access WP. He also shares how to make your website a conversion machine and how to increase your site speed and security.

Anthony and I met at a Podcast Movement meet up and afterward I had him take a look at my website and he gave me some great suggestions for improving my site speed. I wanted to bring him on the show to share what many of us non-technical people need to be focused on when it comes to improving our websites and how he got started.

Anthony was working hard at his job for years but one day realized he was work far too hard for what he was being paid and not doing what he loved. He decided that he wanted to start his own business and with his wife’s support took a risk and quit his job to focus on doing just that.

He made a deal with his wife that if she supported him while he was trying to build his business he would make enough money within a year so she could quit her job and start her own business.

What we discussed:

  • What he initially tried as a business idea that didn’t work but led him to what did work
  • What he did to build his audience and get enough clients to allow his wife to quit her job
  • How he learned how to market online and develop high converting websites
  • The tools he uses to improve and protect his websites
  • Some website design tips from a pro
  • How to improve your website speed
  • How to keep your site security
  • How to know if you need an SSL certificate
